Dog Fair Finland and the dog exhibitions held during the weekend are approaching. Helsinki Winner and Voittaja Winner are the biggest spectacles of the year.
In dog shows, the judge is an expert who assesses how well the appearance of the dogs presented corresponds to their approved breed definition. In addition, the judge takes into account the exaggerated characteristics of dogs and assesses their breed-specific behaviour. The judge is a representative of the Finnish Kennel Club, who presents their views on dogs impartially while always remembering their responsibility in guiding breeding (Ulkomuototuomarit ry).
This year, Dog Fair Finland will have a total of 93 judges, 11 of whom will be participating in the puppy exhibitions, 80 in the Winner Weekend and two in the Junior Handler competitions. There are a total of 58 Nordic judges. Of these judges, 38 are Finnish. Judges from a total of 18 different countries will attend Dog Fair Finland.
You can read more about the judges in the judge introductions on the Helsinki Winner and Voittaja Winner lists of judges! You can access the introductions by clicking on the name of the judge in the list.
