My first breed in my adult life was the Great Dane. I raised a few litters and subsequently fell in love with the sighthounds.
I got my first pharaoh hound in 1988 and since then I have bred Pharaoh Hounds under the kennel name “Nofretete”. Today I have Whippets. I became a show dog judge in 1996 where I started in groups 10 and 5. Subsequently, I trained in group. 9 and then the next many years were spent time with showing, judging and educating myself. I am active in the Danish Kennel Club, and I am member of the board. For the last 25 years, I have been Chairman of the Standards Committee in the Danish Kennel Club and nearly as long also as a member of the Judge Education Committee.
I am new chairman for the Committee taking care of The National Danish Breeds. I became an all-rounder in 2013 and have judged in the Nordic countries – most of Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. When judging, I value to describe, what I see and what it means to the dog’s function. I emphasize health and temperament and that the dog should be able to function in the society in which it lives, but also that it shows breed-specific details that enable it to do the job it was bred for. I looked forward to judge  the Finnish Kennel Club “Winner” –shows on 6.-7.12.2025 in Helsinki
