I commenced my perusit in pure breed dogs 1974 with German Shepherds. Puppy walking for National Guide Dogs and Victorian Police Force in Melbourne Australia. Our first German Shepherd came into out lives in 1974 then followed another 2 German Shepherds in following years. We successfully showed them to champion status and obedience titles as well. I first saw Bearded Collies in 1976, fell in love and our first Beardie was born in 1978. Together, Richard my husband (not deceased) and I established Colard Kennels and Colard Bearded Collies. We imported dogs and bitches from the UK, USA and South Africa. We have exported dogs to UK, USA and NZ. I have judged in every Australian state, UK, USA, South Africa, Finland and New Zealand.
Colard Bearded Collies have achieved the highest awards in the show ring. Colard to date has 44 champions in Australia, USA, UK and NZ. I commenced judging in the late 1980’s. I hold Championship show judging licences in 6 groups Toys, Gundogs, Hounds, Working, Utility and Non Sporting Groups. I am a Trainee judge in Terriers. I am a Secretary of 2 All Breeds clubs, Lancefield Kennel Club Inc and Central Highlands KCI, Pr committee member of 2 other All Breeds Clubs, committee member of VicDogs Open Show running open show for trainee judges to gain experience in handling dogs as a judge in the show ring and general ring craft and committee member of the Bassett Hound Club of Victoria.
