Dogs have been a part of my life from the very beginning. I grew up with my family’s first dog, a German Shepherd female named Jackie. My first own dog, a male Siberian Husky, joined us in 2003, and from that moment on, I was struck by “Husky Fever.” Two years after his arrival, in 2005, I officially received my FCI kennel name, Mystic Woodland, and began breeding under this name in 2007. I kept a female from my first litter, April Sunshine of Mystic Woodland, who achieved remarkable results that I am very proud of: she became an International Champion as well as Champion of Austria, Croatia, and Slovenia. Since then, dogs from my breeding program have earned numerous Junior, Champion, and International Champion titles across Europe. Some of them have even excelled at European and World Dog Shows, winning titles such as Puppy European Winner, Vice Junior World Winner, and high placements in various classes. A major highlight for my kennel came in 2010 when I had the honor of representing Austria at the Eukanuba World Challenge in Long Beach, California, with Venus de Milo of Nordica. In 2015, I shifted my focus toward judging, and in 2016, I became an official judge. Since then, I have expanded my expertise to include all breeds in FCI Groups V and X. I have judged at specialty and CACIB shows in Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Alongside my breeding and judging activities, I serve as the president of the Austrian Club for Nordic Breeds and Sled Dogs (ÖCNHS) and as vice president of the Styrian Dog Sport Club (STHK), which organizes a double CACIB show near Graz every year.
