My first show dog was a Great Dane purchased as a companion from a breeder of quality. She turned out to have some outstanding attributes that eventually led to her being shown, owner-handled, with great success. When she was awarded Winner Bitch at the national specialty I knew that I had begun a lifelong devotion to the sport of purebred dogs. Under the kennelname of Justamere I concentrated on breeding Great Danes that were sound and typey show dogs and good family companions. I had fallen in love with the Australian Shepherd breed and have had them in my home for many years now. The pleasure of having my companions also be highly competitive, BIS and specialty winning dogs is proof that you can have it all. I recently finished my very first obedience titled Aussie. It was both of our first times in the obedience ring and he finished in his first three trials with the high score each time. He has since been awarded BIS in conformation. Leslie Frank and I breed and co-own under the Propwash prefix. I have sevred as an officer, board member, judges education chairperson, show chairperson and several various committees in a number of clubs over the years. It has been my pleasure to judge, on a number of occasions, outside the US: France, Sweden, Finland, UK and Australia were among the invitations. Among previous assignments are the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club and the Eukanuba National Championship shows. I am currently licensed to judge BIS, all Working breeds, all Sporting breeds and various breeds in Hound, Toy and majority of the Herding group. Prior to my involvement in the sport of dogs I had trained and shown Morgan Horses (old type). For all of us the passion for our sport has enriched our lives with firendships, support and fond memories. May they continue. Thank you for the invitation to be part of this event.
