I was 11 years old, when I got my first dog. It was a monorchid Cocker Spaniel, but I did everything I could with it. In 1977 I got a Welsh Springer Spaniel and I bred cople of litters. In 1994 Basenjis came into my life and I bred a couple of litters. In the 21st century I moved to countryside and got a Smooth Collie to accompany my Basenji, kind of guardian dog. I had busy time at work and thought I did not have enought time to concentrate on breeding, so I had a pause in breeding. Last 20 years I have concentrated on judging and education and in autumn 2023 I became an all round judge.
Last year I even bred al litter, this time breed was Whippet. At the moment I have two Whippets and one Smooth Collie at home. During many years I was active in different dog clubs and associations and was a long time member of the Show and Judges Commission of the Finnish Kennel Club. In the beginning of this century I was member of the Board of the Finnish Kennel Club. and I was also Chairman of the Finnish Whippet Club 2020 – 2024. At the moment I am member of the Breeding Commission of the Finnish Basenji Club and member of the Show Judges Commission of the Finnish Whippet Club.
