Maija Heinilä

Maija Heinilä is born in Finland, but as a teenager she went to USA to study. Now she has lived about 40 years in Norway. She is known for breeding Bernese Mountain Dog under prefix Milkcreek, the first litter was born in 1989. Besides Brenese Maija has bred Shetland Sheepdogs, Welsh Corgi Pembrokes and Spanish Waterdogs and nowadays her breed is Welsh Corgi Pemborke. Kennel Milkcreek has been awarded the Breeder Award of the Norwegian Kennel Club in 2011. Judging career started 25 years ago and Maija has judged in 25 different countries on three continents. Maija has four children and five grandchildren and they bring her much joy. Besides dogs Maija enjoys greatly her career in the University in Sørøst-Norge, a career that has lasted 26 years. She has been teacher of a Norwegian Kennel Club cynological course for breeders and new judges.
