When I was young, I could not have dogs at home asm my mother was allergic to dogs. So instead I took care of other peoples dogs. In the beginning of the 1990s I dreamt of an own Leonberger and this dream came true in 2008. Since then we have had Leonbergers at home, at the moment three males. We started showing with our first dog and nowadays we take part to shows often. The other hobby in our family is orienteering (cross-country running) and our 3-year old daughter is already used to be both at dog shows and orienteering competitions. I do also play piano and do some singing every now and then. I have been active in the breed club and last seven years I have been Chairman of the Finnish Leonberger Club. I am also active in the Internationak Commissions and projects for Leobergers so I have lots of international friends. I became show judge in 2023 and at the moment I am qualified to judge breeds of the FCI group 2 and hopefully I can do some new breeds from another group soon.
