Tapio Kakko
Finland
I am Tapio Kakko from the city of Jyväskylä and I work as a customer manager in a software company. At home I have two Lapponian Herders and I have bred this breed since 1990 under prefix Jäkäläkummun. I became judge in 2002, first breed was Finnish Lapponian Dog. I am qualified to judge almost all breeds in FCI group 5 and some breeds in FCI groups 1 and 9. I judge principally in Finland, but I have judged couple of specialties in Sweden, Norway, United Kingdom and Australia. I am educator and examinator for couple of group 5 breeds as well as Chairman of the Breeding Commission of the Lapponian breeds. With my own dogs I do some jogging and training for herding trials, my older dog is Herning Champion but not with me but another person as a leader. Besides my job and children, I do some training at gym – usually late in the evening.
