Finland
When I was child, my father had Finnish Hounds, which were used for Rabbit Hunting. My real interest in dogs started, when I met my wife and her French Bulldog and since then I have been fond of dog shows. We have bred French Bulldogs since 2006 under prefix Carte Truffé. Due to my profession I have been travelling a lot and thus have had the possibility to meet many breeders around the world. We have exported and imported dogs from all around the world and this has meant a lot to our breeding. The Finnish Kennel Club has awarded us the highest possible prize for breeding, the Vuolasvirta Award and also the Finnish Dog Breeders Club has awarded its prize for breeding to our kennel. Besides French Bulldog we have had a couple of King Charles Spaniel. I am the Chairman of the Finnish French Bulldog Club (already 10 years), member of the board of the Finnish Toy Dog Association and member of the board of the Finnish Dog Breeders Club. I became judge in 2023 and at the moment I am qualified to judge breeds of FCI group 9. Besides dogs during the summer months I am a keen golf player.
